Germany-based Krones has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Industries Department to set up a manufacturing facility at the Vemagal Industrial Park Phase 2, in Kolar, Karnataka in the presence of Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M B Patil.
The MoU will pave the way for expediting Krones’ facility, with the Government of Karnataka's assuring support for the operationalisation.
In addition to this facility, discussions were held with Krones’ suppliers to encourage ancillary investments in Karnataka, which would enhance the state’s industrial ecosystem.
As part of the delegation’s visit to Krones’ headquarters in Neutraubling, the company's CEO, provided an overview of operations and showcased its manufacturing capabilities.
The packaging and bottling machine manufacturer also emphasised the advantages of Karnataka, such as pro-business environment and infrastructure focus, which align with their long-term growth strategy.
The Germany roadshow is part of Karnataka’s global outreach to attract investments and partnerships in the lead-up to Invest Karnataka 2025, the state’s flagship Global Investors Meet.
