Infrastructure Sep 16,2026

The Karnataka government plans to develop an anticipated 48.35-acre site owned by the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organization (KTPO) in Bengaluru, which will include a convention centre, exhibition halls and other facilities. The project will comprise global-standard trade, exhibition and convention facilities spread across five acres of the site.

The proposed facility is anticipated to span 10,000 square metres each on the ground and upper floors, with a total built-up area of 20,000 square metres. It will also include parking for 500 cars and space for events, product launches and music concerts.

The Karnataka government has retained 48.35 acres at the KTPO site after allocating 1.65 acres of the original 50-acre site to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation. The site currently has two exhibition halls, one constructed in 2002 and another in 2024. The government is evaluating whether to retain or redevelop the older hall as part of the broader site development plan.
