Power Generation  -  Apr 18,2024  -

Juniper Green Energy has commissioned 25.2 MW of its 70-MW wind power project. In terms of timeline, the commissioning has been done almost nine months before the scheduled commercial date of operation. Under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) at Rs 2.90 per unit, this project will provide power contributing to renewable energy efforts in the state and reducing carbon emissions.

The initiative is expected to benefit around 45,440 households and aligns with efforts to provide cost-effective and environmentally-responsible energy solutions. The operational 25.2 MW is part of the project's progressive rollout. The project is expected to produce around 230 million units (MUs) of electricity per year, aiding in the renewable energy efforts in the state, and reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 2,13,055 tonne annually.

The initiative will supply power to about 45,440 households, furthering the company's role in promoting renewable energy adoption.

As an independent  renewable energy, (RE) power producer in solar, wind and hybrid power, the company is part of the AT Group, which has an asset portfolio of about USD 2.5 billion with global investment in RE residential and commercial real estate, hospitality, and others.
