Juniper Green Energy has secured two power purchase agreements (PPAs) for total 480 MW of hybrid renewable energy projects. The two PPAs have been won as a part of NTPC’s tranche-I hybrid tender and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited’s phase-I hybrid tender.
Juniper Green Energy’s largest hybrid project to date will be the NTPC project, which will include 290 MW of hybrid capacity (210 MW of solar and 80 MW of wind).
Spanning across Gujarat and Rajasthan, this initiative is expected to generate 633 million units (MUs) of electricity annually, cut carbon emissions by 590,810 tonnes, and supply power to 126,165 households.
In accordance with the PPA with GUVNL, Juniper Green will establish 190 MW of hybrid capacity, consisting of 140 MW of solar and 50 MW of wind. This project is projected to produce 412 MUs of electricity per year, reducing CO2 emissions by 384,067 tonnes and providing clean energy to 82,016 households.
In June 2024, Juniper Green Energy inked two PPAs for the development of clean energy projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
