JTL Engineering to Invest ₹15 Crore to Double Narrow-Width HR Coil Capacity to 10,000 MT/Month
JTL Industries has announced that its subsidiary, JTL Engineering, will undertake a capital expenditure of around ₹15 crore to expand its narrow-width hot-rolled (HR) coil manufacturing capacity. The planned expansion will double the subsidiary's HR coil output from the current 5,000 MT per month to 10,000 MT per month.
The expanded facility is expected to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of FY27. Alongside the capacity increase, JTL Engineering will enhance its ability to manufacture wider narrow-width HR coils, with the maximum coil width increasing from 9 inches (228.6 mm) to 11 inches (279.4 mm).
The wider width capability is intended to broaden the range of narrow-width HR coils the company can produce, allowing it to address a larger set of product specifications and customer requirements.
JTL Engineering supports JTL Industries' backward integration strategy in structural steel tube and pipe manufacturing. JTL Industries operates pipe manufacturing facilities in Punjab, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh with a combined capacity of around 6,86,000 MTPA, and has separately outlined plans to expand capacity at its Maharashtra plant with new narrow-width GI coil, color-coated and API-grade production lines.
