JSW Steel targets massive capacity expansion through global partnerships

JSW Steel has unveiled an ambitious long-term expansion strategy targeting 78 MTPA steel capacity through collaborations with global partners including POSCO and JFE Holdings.
The company has also raised its standalone capacity target to 62 million tonnes as it seeks to strengthen its position in domestic and international steel markets.
The expansion roadmap includes investments in advanced steelmaking technologies, infrastructure, and sustainability initiatives.
The strategy reflects growing confidence in India’s infrastructure-led demand growth and industrial expansion over the coming decade.
