JSW Energy bags PPAs for wind and solar projects

JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has entered into power purchase agreements (PPAs) through its subsidiaries for wind and solar projects with a total capacity of 1,325 MW.

This includes 1,025 MW wind PPA with the Solar Energy Corporation of India and 300 MW solar PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

The 1,025 MW wind PPA has a blended tariff of Rs 3.62 per kWh for a duration of 25 years. 

It is anticipated to be commissioned within 24 months by JSW Renew Energy Eight in Gujarat and by JSW Renew Energy Four in Karnataka. 

The grid-connected solar PPA of 300 MW with GUVNL is inked at a tariff of Rs 2.66 per kWh for 25 years. 

This project, to be developed at Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited’s renewable energy park at Khavda (GSECL Stage-3) in Gujarat, will be carried out by JSW Renew Energy Ten and is expected to be commissioned within 21 months.
