JK Cement Ltd has commenced a cement grinding capacity in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

The company’s unit in Prayagraj has successfully started the cement grinding capacity of 2 MnTPA on June 25 at its newly set up cement manufacturing facilities.

Following the successful start at the Prayagraj unit, JK Cement’s total grey cement installed capacity has increased to 24.34 MnTPA.

For the quarter ended on March 31, 2024, JK Cement reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 20 crore, skyrocketing 105% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis to Rs 107 crore in the same period last year.

The consolidated revenue from operations rose 12% on a YoY to Rs 3,106 crore in the final quarter of FY24 as compared to Rs 2,778 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. 

The net sales gained 11% YoY to Rs 3,017 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 2,725 crore last year.
