Power Generation Aug 11,2026

Jakson Infra has secured a contract worth ₹128.21 crore from Resonia Limited for the supply and construction of a transmission line project in Karnataka. The contract covers "Element 1B (Middle Section)" of the 400kV double-circuit (quad) Jagalur-Kadakola transmission line, spanning a route length of approximately 90.07 km, with completion scheduled within 23 months.

The project forms part of a larger transmission scheme involving the establishment of a 400kV substation at Hampapura and associated transmission lines in Mandya district, which was awarded to Resonia Ltd by REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. Resonia had formally acquired the project SPV, Hampapura Power Transmission Ltd, from bid process coordinator RECPDCL on May 30, 2026.

As part of the contract, Jakson Infra will execute the engineering, procurement, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of the designated transmission line section. Once completed, the project is expected to enhance Karnataka's transmission capacity, improve grid reliability, and support the state's growing energy demand.

The award reinforces Jakson Infra's position as an EPC partner in India's power transmission sector, adding to its growing portfolio of substation and transmission line projects across the country.
