INOX Air Products Commissions 200 TPD Liquid Air Separation Unit at Atchutapuram, Andhra Pradesh
INOX Air Products Limited (INOXAP), a manufacturer of industrial and medical gases, has inaugurated a 200 tons-per-day (TPD) Liquid Air Separation Unit (ASU) at Atchutapuram, Andhra Pradesh. The facility was inaugurated by T. G. Bharath, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Industries and Commerce.
The plant is spread over 6.77 acres. It will produce Liquid Oxygen (LOX), Liquid Nitrogen (LIN) and Liquid Argon (LAR). It is expected to improve the availability of industrial gases and medical oxygen in the state.
The unit will supply pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, steel and metals, ferro alloys, chemicals, glass and engineering industries. It will also support emerging solar and semiconductor manufacturing. The ASU can be optimised to produce ultra-high-purity liquid nitrogen with 5N purity for these applications.
INOXAP said it plans to deepen its presence in Andhra Pradesh with continued state government support. The source does not state the investment size, the technology supplier or the commissioning date.
