Indian Hotels plans to develop 300-room Ginger hotel in Goa

Infrastructure  -  Feb 09,2024  -

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the operator of the Taj brand of hotels, has signed a sub-license agreement with GMR Goa International Airport (GGIAL) to develop a Ginger hotel in Goa. The upcoming hotel is expected to be opened in 2027.

The 60-year agreement has been signed between GGIAL and Roots Corporation (RCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of IHCL. Strategically located at the new Manohar International Airport, the signing of the pact is in line with IHCL’s growth plan to establish its presence across key transit hubs.

The 300-key hotel spread over two acres will be a part of the aero-city development. Further, this will be the third large-format Ginger hotel at an international airport after Mumbai and Bengaluru, catering to the growing demand that these nodal centres generate.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 15 hotels in Goa, including four under development. Ginger is IHCL’s affordable brand of hotels.
