Igus India, a notable player in the motion plastics industry, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Mandur near Budigere, Bengaluru. This plant, spanning 92,000 sq. ft., marks a substantial expansion in Igus’s operations in India.
The company seeks to strengthen its presence in key emerging sectors, including semiconductors and renewable energy, while aligning to the broader strategy to enhance its operational capabilities and catering to the demands of its Indian customer base.
The new facility entails an investment of over Rs 100 crore, with allocation of Rs 20 crore towards the factory setup, Rs 40 crore for advanced injection moulding machines, and Rs 20 crore dedicated to the manufacturing process.
Igus India’s expansion plans include the establishment of logistics and assembly centres in Pune, Gurugram, and Noida, further enhancing its distribution network across the country. Additionally, the company is investing in clean room testing facilities, both in Germany and in India, to support its commitment to product quality and innovation.
