Hyundai to establish mega test centre in Telangana

Infrastructure  -  Aug 14,2024  -

South Korean automotive major Hyundai's Indian arm Hyundai Motor India Engineering (HMIE) will set up a mega test centre in Telangana. The centre will have an automative test track facility as well as a test car manufacturing facility.

The decision was announced during an interaction between Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the company officials in Seoul on 12 August, 2024, during a four-day visit to South Korea to attract investment into the state.

The test centre would most likely appeal to other affiliates and suppliers for setting up their facilities in close proximity. This will help create both direct and indirect employment opportunities in the state.

Moreover, HMIE's modernisation plan for engineering centre in Hyderabad will lead to creation of more wok opportunities in the region.

India being a key market adds to the carmaker's commitment to develop benchmark setting products and technologies for Indian customers
