Hyatt eyes 50 hotels by 2023 end

Hyatt Hotels plans to increase its presence in India from 43 branded properties to 50 by the end of the year, and up to 100 over the next five years.

In 2023, Hyatt will open a five-star boutique hotel called 'Hyatt Centric' in Dehradun and Goa, Uttarakhand, as well as a business hotel called 'Hyatt Place' in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

It also intends to build a new hotel in Hebbal, Bengaluru, as well as another in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

Through 2023, it will open Ronil Goa and properties in Kolkata, Bodh Gaya in Bihar, and Goa as part of the 'JdV by Hyatt' brand.

It intends to open three Hyatt Regency buildings in Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh), Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), and Kochi by 2024.

Last year, the company opened nine hotel properties, and with the addition of 10 more, plans to meet its target of 10,000 rooms in India. Additionally, it manages two hotels in Nepal.
