Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages inaugurates greenfield plant in Telangana

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) inaugurated its greenfield plant in Banda Thimmapur, Siddipet district of Telangana, on 2 December, 2024.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy flagged off the facility which will see a total investment of USD 251 million (approx. Rs 2,091 crore). Of this, USD 170 million (Rs 1,409 crore) has already been utilised in the first phase.

The plant spread over 49 acres, boasts seven advanced production lines, aiming to create over 400 direct and indirect jobs initially.

HCCB's new facility complements its existing plant in Ameenpur, Sangareddy district. Once fully operational, the facility will bring HCCB’s total investment in Telangana to USD 456 million (approx. Rs 3,798 crore) and is expected to generate employment for 1,000 people in total.

Industries & IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu emphasised the plant’s significance, stating: “This greenfield factory is a major addition to Telangana's industrial landscape and ensures sustainable growth and prosperity.” Similarly, Transport & BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar highlighted the social impact of HCCB's investment: “By generating skilled employment and integrating with initiatives that empower youth, women, and rural communities, this investment strengthens Telangana’s position as a hub for sustainable and inclusive growth.”
