GREW Solar, a flagship initiative of the Chiripal Group, is set to build a three-stage, backward integrated solar module manufacturing facility in Narmadapuram, Bhopal, with a Rs 3,000 crore investment.
The 60-acre plant will produce three GW of solar cells annually, which will address both domestic and international demand for photovoltaic (PV) solar products. GREW Solar's expansion will create work opportunities for over 1,000 people in the region.
The company has also begun operations at a second unit in Jaipur, Rajasthan, which, upon completion of its third phase, will increase its total capacity to eight GW.
CEO Vinay Thadani emphasised the company’s commitment to India's renewable energy goals and its ongoing efforts to innovate in module efficiency.
