Greenfield Expressway from Raxaul to Haldia Port to be built at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore

To promote trade and facilitate travel between West Bengal, Bihar and Nepal, it has been decided to build a Greenfield Expressway from Raxaul in Bihar to Haldia Port in West Bengal.

This 719 km long six-lane expressway will be built at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore. It is expected to be completed by the year 2028. It will be constructed by NHAI. This highway will pass through Deoghar, Dumka, Jamtara districts of Jharkhand.

With the construction of this road, travel from Deoghar and Dumka to Nepal, Kolkata, Patna and other places will become very easy. 

Along with this, travel to big cities like Patna and Kolkata will become simple and comfortable.

This will also benefit trade and tourism. Its DPR is ready. NHAI has sent a proposal to the ministry for approval of this road. 

As soon as approval is received, the work of land acquisition will start. As soon as the land is acquired, the work of road construction will be started.
