Godrej Electricals & Electronics, the business unit of Godrej & Boyce has commissioned a 12.5 MWp rooftop solar project for a textile facility in Madhya Pradesh.

The project, spread over one million sq. ft. manufacturing sheds, is one of the three largest rooftop solar installations in the country, and the first in the state.

The project will provide green energy to the textile facility, with an estimated annual saving of 17 million kWh of power.

The company is keen on innovative solutions which are pivotal to decarbonise energy-intensive sectors while creating employment and helping it maintain technological leadership.

Meanwhile, Godrej Electricals & Electronics is carrying out similar projects across various industries such as cement, textile, and automobile.
