Fully automated service centre for construction sector established in
Metallurgical Industries - Jul 03,2023 -The first fully automated service centre for the construction sector has been established by Tata Steel on 11 acres at Tangi, Cuttack, Odisha.
Together with Tata Steel's channel partner Sagar Business, the service centre was constructed.
The centre can create tailored cut and bent rebars, coupler threading, and welded wire mesh at a rate of 3,000 tonnes per month thanks to its advanced automatic manufacturing capabilities.
Ashish Anupam, Chairperson, Marketing & Sales, Long Products, Tata Steel said construction is one of the key sectors driving steel consumption, and automation in construction is the transformative force that will propel the industry towards unparalleled growth with a new agility.
The centre marks a significant milestone in shaping the construction industry. The initiative is set to revolutionise reinforcement application in the construction sector and cater to the rapidly growing infrastructure demand in Odisha.
