ndia Glycols Limited has added further capacity of 200 KLPD for grain based distillery including bio-fuel ethanol capacity (Ethanol to bio-fuel conversion) at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh). 

The total combined enhanced capacity of grain based distillery and bio-fuel ethanol plant at Gorakhpur now stands at 310 KLPD and is commissioned.

Post commissioning, the company has completed its presently scheduled capacity enhancement for grain based distillery including bio-fuel ethanol capacity (Ethanol to bio-fuel conversion) at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Grains have emerged as one of the key feedstocks for ethanol production in India, and its share in biofuel output is likely to surge. 

It is expected that the share of ethanol production from grains may increase beyond 60% in current Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2024-25.
