Manufacturing  -  Feb 28,2024  -

Dhunseri Ventures' polyester film manufacturing unit opened a new plant with an investment of Rs 570 crore on 27 February, 2024. West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee virtually inaugurated Dhunseri Poly Films's new plant in Panagarh Industrial Park.

The plant is spread over 38 acres in the Panagarh Industrial Park of the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC). It is expected to cater to the rising demand in the packaging sector.

Dhunseri Poly Films had signed a contract with German supplier Bruckner Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. for the project. This plant will create direct and indirect jobs for more than 300 individuals.

This is eastern India's first polyester film (BOPET) manufacturing line with the capacity to produce 5,2000 tpa, and will fuel the regional economy while bolstering the packaging and industrial sectors.
