DCW to boost CPVC production capacity by 150% with Rs 140 crore expansion

Infrastructure  -  Oct 21,2024  -

DCW Limited has announced a significant expansion of its Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) production capacity.

Following the board meeting on October 17, 2024, the company confirmed plans to increase its production capacity by 30,000 metric tonnes (MT), taking the total capacity from 20,000 MT to 50,000 MT.

This phased expansion is set to be completed by FY26, with 20,000 MT expected to come online in the second half of Q2 FY26 and an additional 10,000 MT by the end of FY26.

CPVC is a versatile thermoplastic used in the manufacturing of hot and cold water pipes, industrial liquid handling, and other applications.

The expansion will be achieved through new installations, de-bottlenecking of existing facilities, and process optimisation, allowing DCW to meet the rising demand for CPVC while maintaining high-quality standards.

This investment in capacity addition, expected to cost up to ₹140 crore, will be financed through a mix of bank loans and internal accruals. The increased capacity will leverage DCW’s existing infrastructure, offering cost-efficiency and operational stability, as it integrates its own Suspension PVC (S-PVC) as raw material.
