Dalmia Bharat Ltd has started production at its new mill in the Ariyalur manufacturing unit, Tamil Nadu, according to a regulatory filing. This 1 MTPA unit boosts the company’s total cement manufacturing capacity to 45.6 MTPA.
With a Rs 204 crore investment, this expansion aims to strengthen Dalmia Bharat’s market presence in the South and meet the rising regional demand for cement. The company’s long-term strategy targets increasing total installed capacity to 110–130 MT by 2031.
Puneet Dalmia, the Managing Director and CEO, underscored the importance of strategic capital expenditure to strengthen the company’s market position in the South, predicting a surge in cement demand due to infrastructure development and housing.
Dalmia Bharat currently operates two integrated cement plants in Tamil Nadu, Dalmiapuram and Ariyalur, as well as a grinding unit in Sattur.
