Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Aug 08,2024  -

The construction of a new 125-bed district hospital in the Reshipora area of Budgam district, Jammu & Kashmir, has officially commenced. The project, which is a significant initiative by the Government of J&K, aims to enhance the healthcare infrastructure in the region. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo, along with other officials, has overseen the initial stages of the construction to ensure the project progresses smoothly. This new facility is expected to address the growing healthcare needs of the district's residents, offering improved medical services and facilities.

The land allocation for the hospital and the project’s development received approval from the Administrative Council under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha last year. The concerted efforts of various government departments and the district administration have facilitated the timely initiation of this essential project. The new hospital is anticipated to play a crucial role in providing accessible healthcare services to the local population, reflecting the government's commitment to improving health infrastructure in remote and underserved areas.
