Infrastructure  -  Oct 08,2024  -

Colt Data Centre Services (DCS), which is backed by Fidelity Investments, is in  talks with RMZ Corp to jointly invest over $1 billion in developing data centres across key Indian cities, starting with Mumbai and Chennai.

The joint platform plans to set up data centres in Mumbai and Chennai. Colt is planning a 125-130 MW data centre in Navi Mumbai and a 100 MW centre in Chennai.

India's digitization surge is driving significant global investments in the data centre market.

Colt DCS and RMZ collaboration is expected to enhance India's digital infrastructure and support the growing demand for data centres in the region.

Colt DCS will bring its extensive global experience in data development and management, while RMZ will contribute its construction and execution capabilities.

Colt DCS launched its first data centre in India in September last year, in Navi Mumbai.

The flagship Navi Mumbai data centre marked Colt DCS’ strategic expansion and commitment to supporting the increasing demand of hyperscale cloud service providers and large enterprises businesses in the fast-growing Indian data centre market.
