The Greater Noida Industrial establishment Authority (GNIDA) Board of Directors has given preliminary approval to its Master Plan 2041, which proposes an increase in industrial land allocation as well as the establishment of a commercial centre. However, final permission is still pending.
A key feature of the Master Plan 2041 pertains to promoting mix-land use in areas close to the under-construction Noida International Airport in Jewar, which falls under Yamuna Expressway Authority (YEIDA).
It would also bring villages along the Hapur and Bulandshahr border under the authority's fold. Currently, 25.4 percent of the 40,000-hectare area, called Phase-II, proposed to be developed under the Master Plan is earmaked for industries.
The proposal includes an extension of a 130-mtrs. wide road which currently begins from Greater Noida West and concludes at Sirsa. This could be extended up to the Adauda village for a length of eight km under YEIDA.
The hospitality sector, commercial set-ups and related recreational activities would be enhanced by connectivity with transit corridors, as per the proposal. Other features proposed are integration of public transportation modes, including MRTS, non-motorised transport, cycle tracks, among others.
