Chalet Hotels gets Board approval for land buy in Goa

The Board of Directors of Chalet Hotels has approved a transaction for the purchase of a land parcel in Goa.

The company plans to develop a five-star luxury hotel on the land measuring 11 acres. The deal is worth Rs 137 crore.

Chalet Hotels is in the process of executing definitive agreement with Shiva Goa Palace.

Chalet Hotels’ Managing Director and CEO Sanjay Sethi said,"We closed this quarter (Q1FY25) with 3,052 rooms and we expect to another 200 rooms during this financial year. So we will move up to roughly around 3,250 rooms."

In addition to that, Chalet Hotels has a pipeline of 662 rooms between the two hotels that are being built as greenfield — one in Delhi, Taj, and the second in Airoli Mumbai, Hyatt Regency, he added.
