Centre Approves ₹840.41 Crore Upgrade of NH-365BB Sections in Andhra Pradesh
The Centre has approved ₹840.41 crore for upgrading two key stretches of National Highway-365BB in Andhra Pradesh. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced the approval, which covers the Buttaigudem–LND Peta and Pattiseema–Kovvur sections, together spanning 45.09 km.
Both stretches will be widened into two-lane roads with paved shoulders. The project is aimed at improving connectivity to the Polavaram Irrigation Project and the surrounding villages in the Godavari region.
The upgraded highway is expected to support faster movement of agricultural produce, including tobacco, sugarcane and palm products, strengthening farm-to-market connectivity in the region. It will also improve road links between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu thanked the Union Minister for the approval, noting that the improved infrastructure would also benefit aqua farmers in the region and support trade between the two states.
