Camfil opens new manufacturing facility in India

Manufacturing  -  Dec 05,2024  -

Camfil India has opened its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Manesar, Gurgaon to boost capacity and support India’s adoption of IS 17570:2021/ISO 16890:2016 standards.

The new Manesar facility significantly boosts production capacity for high-efficiency filters designed for Air Handling Units (AHUs).

As part of this expansion, Camfil India will manufacture minipleated HEPA filters, also known as Megalams. Designed and built using advanced equipment and scanning technology developed by Camfil, these filters serve industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and microelectronics.

The new facility will also produce next-generation Hi-Flo filters, which enhance performance while reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.

The Manesar facility is fully aligned with India’s adoption of the ISO 16890 standard, which evaluates air filter performance.

All HVAC filters produced at the plant will meet the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) guidelines under IS 17570:2021/ISO 16890:2016.

Reinforcing its support for the ‘Make in India’ mission, the facility will serve as a key local sourcing hub within the Camfil Group.

This will enhance its global supply chain efficiency and position Camfil India as a critical contributor to international markets.
