The packaged food firm Mondelez India announced an investment of Rs 1,600 crore to increase the capacity of its Sri City, Andhra Pradesh manufacturing facility's chocolate production.

The action aims to meet the increasing demand for its products, including Cadbury Dairy Milk.

Over the following three years, the chocolate manufacturer's investment will increase Sri City's capacity for producing chocolate, making it one of Mondelez International's largest chocolate production facilities internationally.

According to a statement from the corporation, this investment will also lead to more jobs in the state.
