BPCL boosts capabilities with new hydrant facilities at Manohar International Airport

Petroleum  -  May 22,2024  -

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited has inaugurated cutting-edge hydrant facilities at the newly established Manohar International Airport in north Goa.

The inauguration ceremony, led bySukhmal Jain, Director (Marketing) BPCL, saw the presence of Kanwarbir Singh Kalra, Deputy CEO of GMR Goa International Airport Ltd (GGIAL), along with senior leadership from both BPCL and GGIAL.

BPCL's introduction of these advanced hydrant facilities is a strategic move to address the escalating refueling demands at the new greenfield airport. The Manohar International Airport is a significant addition to Goa's aviation infrastructure, complementing the existing Naval airport in Dabolim. The latter has faced limitations due to restricted operational hours for civil aircraft. With the commencement of operations at Manohar International Airport, the combined traffic at both airports has surged.

Sukhmal Jain emphasized, "The inauguration of these state-of-the-art hydrant facilities at Manohar International Airport marks a significant milestone in BPCL's efforts to enhance aviation infrastructure in India. This strategic expansion aims to meet the increasing refueling demands and ensure seamless operations. BPCL remains committed to pioneering advancements that support the robust growth of the aviation sector, reinforcing our dedication to efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction."
