Bhilwara Energy Limited has announced the launch of LNJ GREENPET, a state-of-the-art B2B food-grade PET resin manufacturing plant in Rajasthan with an investment of Rs 750 crore.
The company said the project will create over 700 job opportunities in the state.
rPET resin manufacturing plants recycle post-consumer PET bottles into rPET resin, which can be used to create new bottles or other products.
Spread across 95 acres, LNJ GREENPET is set to be India’s largest single-premises bottle-to-bottle (B2B) recycled PET resin-manufacturing project in Tonk district.
The project is slated for operational commencement by September 2026 with a capacity to recycle 20 million PET bottles per day and to produce 100 kilotons Food Grade B2B rPET resin annually, Bhilwara Energy said in a press release.
The project marks the group's second initiative in PET bottle recycling, following the successful establishment of Recycled Polyester Fibre (RCPF) facility in 2014, which currently recycles 6 million PET bottles daily and produces 43000+ MT FibreGreen annually.
