Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has secured a contract from Adani Power (APL) to set up a 2x800 MW thermal power plant (TPP) at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The order's total worth is more than Rs 3,500 crore.
The new contract signed on 05 June, 2024 is for the supply of equipment including boiler, turbine, generator and associated auxiliaries along with control and instrumentation) and supervision of erection and commissioning for the power project based on supercritical technology.
The boiler and turbine generator would be manufactured at Trichy and Haridwar plants of BHEL respectively. The time period for the supply of Unit-1 is 35 months, and Unit-2 is 41 months.
