BHEL bags orders worth Rs 11,000 crore from Adani Power and its subsidiary
Power Generation - Aug 26,2024 -Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) announced that it has secured orders worth more than Rs 11,000 crore from Adani Power and its subsidiary, Mahan Energen, for supply of equipment and supervision of erection & commissioning for three power projects at Kawai, Rajasthan and Mahan, Madhya Pradesh.
Each of the three projects, it added, will be of 2×800 MW rating.
In a regulatory filing, the company informed, “Contract Agreement signed on 25th August 2024 for Supply of equipment (Boiler, Turbine, Generator) and Supervision of Erection & Commissioning for Three (3) power projects each of 2×800 MW based on Supercritical Technology at Kawai (Phase-II) Rajasthan & Kawai (Phase-III) Rajasthan of (APL) and at Mahan (Phase-III), Madhya Pradesh of MEL.”
BHEL will complete the Kawai Phase-II project in 49 months, Kawai Phase-III project in 52 months and Mahan Phase-III project in 55 months.
Earlier in July, BHEL had reported its fiscal first quarter earnings with net loss widened to Rs 211 crore despite a rise in its topline and a rise in demand for power equipment, from Rs 205 crore recorded during the same period last year.
