Asian Energy Services Limited has won a ₹187.62 crore EPC contract, inclusive of GST, from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) for the capacity enhancement of the Coal Handling Plant (Stage-II) at Ukai Thermal Power Station in Gujarat.

The project will be executed on a lump-sum EPC basis, with scope covering end-to-end engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. Execution is expected to span two to three years.

Dr. Kapil Garg, Managing Director of Asian Energy Services Limited, said the project adds to the company's order book in its mineral infrastructure vertical and strengthens revenue visibility over the contract period.

The company stated that this is its first major order outside Coal India and its subsidiaries and associates. Asian Energy's mineral infrastructure vertical has so far executed coal handling projects across Coal India subsidiaries including Mahanadi Coalfields, Eastern Coalfields, Central Coalfields and South Eastern Coalfields, as well as for Singareni Collieries Company Limited in Telangana. The Ukai contract marks an expansion of its client base into GSECL's thermal power infrastructure.
