Ashoka Buildcon will invest Rs 9,000 crore in Bihar, and has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government. The plant will produce green hydrogen.
The first phase will be in Begusarai, and a 1,250 MW solar project will power the plant. It will take 1.5 to two years to complete, from the date of receiving all clearances.
The second phase will follow thereafter. The company will use the clean electricity to produce green hydrogen by splitting water.
The company signed the MoU, committing to investing in the plant, during the Bihar Business Connect 2024. The Maharashtra-based firm is in highway construction, power distribution and solar projects.
