AP Minister Nara Lokesh Launches APEX Korea Investment Centre in Busan, Pitches ₹30,000 Crore Shipbuilding Cluster

Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated APEX Korea in Busan, South Korea, the state’s first permanent overseas investor facilitation centre established by APEDB. The centre will support Korean investors, coordinate approvals, and strengthen India–Korea business ties.

Lokesh invited Korean companies to invest in the ₹30,000 crore Dugarajapatnam Shipbuilding Cluster and proposed a Korea Marine Equipment Desk and India Ship Technology Centre. He also highlighted footwear investments, including Hwaseung Group’s ₹900 crore Kuppam facility, and explored opportunities with Boo Young Group and BNK Financial Group.

The initiative aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a manufacturing, maritime, and technology investment hub, leveraging its 1,053 km coastline, ports, cargo capacity, and 1.10 lakh+ acres industrial land bank.
