Andhra CM Jagan lays foundation stone for three Oberoi group hotels

Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Jul 12,2023  -

Three seven-star hotels are being built by the Oberoi Group in the state, and chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lay the cornerstones.

The hotels will be in the cities of Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, and Gandikota's YSR Kadapa district.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Oberoi Group was first signed during the Global Investors Summit in Visakhapatnam in March, and it was followed by the ceremony in Gandikota.

In the Chief Minister's presence, the MoU was signed by representatives of the government and the Oberoi Group's managing director, Vikram Oberoi.

During the bhoomi puja (groundbreaking ceremony), the Chief Minister exuded confidence that the hotels would put Gandikota, often referred to as the Grand Canyon of India, on the world tourism map.

He stated that the hotels would create direct and indirect employment opportunities for 500 to 800 individuals and contribute to the overall development of Gandikota.

Additionally, the Chief Minister hoped that the Oberoi Hotel and Resort would attract further projects and requested Vikram Oberoi to explore the possibility of establishing a golf course in the area.
