Amit Shah lays foundation of IFFCO Nano DAP

Chemicals  -  Aug 14,2023  -

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, performed the Bhumi Pujan and laid the cornerstone for the IFFCO Nano DAP (Liquid) Plant in Gandhidham, Gujarat.

Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi, IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani, MD Dr. U. S. Awasthi, State Cooperation Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma, and others were present on this occasion.

In his speech, Amit Shah stated that by creating the Ministry of Cooperation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the goal of making 15 crore farmers in the nation affluent with the slogan "Sahkar se Samridhi." He said that the Gandhidham facility would produce more than the 3 million tonnes of DAP that the IFFCO factory currently produces.

The Union Minister of Cooperation said that liquid fertilizer is going to give multi-dimensional benefits to the country’s economy and the agriculture sector.

Spraying of Nano DAP (liquid) will not pollute the land, which will further ease the natural farming, increase soil fertility along with agricultural production and will promote land conservation.

He further said that IFFCO DAP (liquid) does not go inside the ground, but remains on the top of the crop, due to which not only the benefits of DAP become available to the crop, but the land is also preserved.

DAP (Liquid) will not pollute water, increase production, keep price affordable, reduce government subsidy burden and reduce imports to make India self-sufficient in the field of urea and DAP, he stated.
