Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently opened a modern cattle feed plant in Himmatnagar, Sabarkantha, Gujarat.
The plant can produce 800 metric tons of cattle feed. Important guests, including Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary, attended the event.
Amit Shah shared that the Sabar Dairy, which began as a small initiative, now supports over three and a half lakh families. He also spoke with women in animal husbandry who said the dairy helps them live with respect.
Amit Shah praised the cooperatives recognized for their outstanding milk production. These cooperatives, he said, have earned over one crore rupees from the milk trade.
He highlighted how the cooperative dairy movement has not only empowered women but also brought prosperity to villages and ensured nutrition.
This success, according to Shah, is a result of the White Revolution initiated by Amul. He mentioned the establishment of a Rs. 210 crore animal feed plant at Sabarkantha Dairy to provide nutritious feed to local livestock.
