Alchemy Cleantech and Paragon Biofuels Launch Ankleshwar Bio CNG Plant; Paragon Plans ₹500 Crore Sector Expansion

Power Generation Jun 24,2026

Alchemy Cleantech and Paragon Biofuels have inaugurated the Ankleshwar Bio CNG Plant, a waste-to-energy facility designed to process 43,800 tonnes of organic waste annually. The plant converts this waste into 2,373 tonnes of Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) per year, intended as a cleaner substitute for conventional CNG.

Alongside CBG production, the facility will generate 7,300 tonnes of solid Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) and 27,375 cubic metres of liquid FOM annually, to be used as bio-fertiliser for agricultural applications. The plant is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 17,000 tonnes per year.

The project is expected to create around 50 direct jobs, with an additional 150 indirect jobs generated through waste collection, logistics, and allied support services.

Paragon Biofuels has outlined plans for a ₹500 crore investment in the waste-to-energy sector, aimed at scaling similar Bio CNG and CBG projects across India. No specific timeline or additional project locations have been disclosed in the source article.
