Adani Wilmar launches food processing plant in Haryana

Adani Wilmar has inaugurated its integrated food processing plant in Gohana, Haryana, built with an investment of Rs 1,298 crore from its IPO proceeds. Spanning 85 acres, the facility is designed by Larsen & Toubro Technology Services (L&T) and equipped with cutting-edge technology for a wide range of food products.

The facility boasts a total annual production capacity of 6,27,000 MT, manufacturing 4,50,000 MT of food products, including rice, wheat flour, suji, rawa, and maida, and 2,00,000 MT of edible oils like mustard, rice bran, and cottonseed oil. Additionally, it produces Mustard DOC and Ricebran DOC for animal feed.

Satake Corporation developed the rice processing unit, ensuring top quality and efficiency. Bühler Group designed the wheat processing unit, which includes a 350 TPD wheat processing line and a 200 TPD whole wheat atta line. Adani Wilmar also collaborated with Alfa Laval India, Mactek Solutions, and Kirby Building Systems for sustainable structural and engineering solutions.

The plant is expected to generate 2,000 employment opportunities, fostering socio-economic development in the region. MD & CEO of Adani Wilmar, Angshu Mallick, emphasised the significance of this development, stating, “The commencement of our Gohana plant represents a step forward in our commitment to India's food security and economic growth. This state-of-the-art facility exemplifies our mission to support a healthy growing nation by bringing advanced technology and world-class infrastructure to ensure citizens have access to the best quality branded staple foods.”
