Acme Solar commissions 1,483 MWp in Rajasthan

Power Generation  -  Dec 20,2024  -

Acme Solar Holdings Ltd has commissioned four co-located solar projects aggregating to 1,023 MW AC (1483 MWp) capacity in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. The projects connect to the interstate transmission system (ISTS).

“This achievement marks the commissioning of one of the largest single location projects by any renewable energy company in India this year,” stated Acme Solar.

The commissioned capacity is part of a 1.2 GW AC (300 MW x 4) PV project with Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) as the offtaker. The remaining capacity of 177 MW is already energised and is in the process of commissioning.

With the commissioning of complete 1.2 GW AC capacity, Acme Solar’s total commissioned capacity will reach 2,540 MW AC (3,578 MWp).

The [1.2 GW AC] project at its full capacity would generate around 3,000 million units of clean electricity and will obviate GHG emissions of 2.6 million tonnes each year. The project is strategically located in one of the best solar irradiation zones of the country and leverages common infrastructure for all four plants (300 MW each) to evacuate power leading to optimized generation at a higher efficiency,” stated Acme Solar.
