AAI invites bids for development of International airport at Varanasi

Airports Authority of India (AAI) has floated tender for the composite work of development of Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

The scope of work will comprise, but is not limited to design, engineering, procurement, construction,erection, installation, setting to work, testing, pre- commissioning, commissioning, trial runs,completion, and maintenance during defect liability period.

The components under Package-I includes passenger terminal building (PTB) excluding basement area, aero-bridges (fixed fingers) 8 no.s, utility buildings (service blocks) (GF+FF), utility building basement (i/c STP, UGT), skywalk (74m x 6m), car parking area & pavements, footpaths and associated infrastructure, landscaping works and elevated road.

The contract is valued at Rs 995.08 crore, with a completion period of 36 months ( including 4.5 month considered for rain).

The defect liability period (DLP) is of 24 months after actual date of completion of work, thereafter 60 months of AICMC for MEP, AS & IT works will be carried out. The bid submission deadline is 25 January, 2024.
