The 1.50 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) Clinkerization Unit of Udaipur Cement Works Limited (UCWL) has been put into operation.

By doing this, the company increased its remarkable 3 MTPA clinker capacity by doubling it from 1.50 MTPA. In line with UCWL's long-term goals to address the changing cement consumption patterns in its operational territories, this strategic decision of expansion.

The availability of sufficient Land and the required Limestone Reserves at the Company's existing Mines facilitates this growth.

The expansion will help the company provide cement to a bigger customer base as it anticipates a substantial increase in cement demand in the upcoming years.

Shrivats Singhania, director & CEO of the company said, "To sustain and flourish in this demanding and competitive market, it is imperative for us to adapt, cater and grow with the consumption trends. We foresee a substantial uptick in the cement demand in the upcoming years. By the end of FY 23-24, our total cement capacity will more than double to 4.7 MTPA from the existing 2.2 MTPA."
