Leading companies from both domestic and international markets are anticipated to attend the 'Bihar Business Connect 2023' international investors' summit, which is scheduled to take place at Gyan Bhavan on December 13 and 14.
The conference, which aims to educate prospective investors about the opportunities in the state, is anticipated to draw 600 companies, 400 of which will come from outside the state.
Industry Minister Sameer Kumar Mahaseth stressed the importance of eradicating unfavorable stereotypes about conducting business in Bihar during a news conference.
"Our state has already made huge strides on the path of development and has already taken care of the basic needs such as electricity, water and roads. Once investors start pouring in, we can progress further," he said.
Water resources department and IPRD minister Sanjay Kumar Jha said the Bihar's diaspora already has a global presence in industry.
"We are witnessing an image makeover of the state with regard to industry and investment. Bihar will soon become a case study of industrial development," he said.
In preparation for the summit, roadshows were organized in the United States, Bangladesh, the UAE, Taiwan and Japan and in 7 Indian cities, including New Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Tiruppur (TN) and Kolkata.
