Power Generation  -  Oct 01,2024  -

Senvion India has announced that it has secured a new order (conditional) for 50 of the recently launched 4.2M160 wind turbine generators (WTGs) totaling 210MW from Continuum Green Energy.

The delivery of the order is expected to be initiated in April 2026 while deployment will be carried out in either Gujarat or Karnataka. The deal allows for the installation of as many as 50 more WTGs; this may expand the project’s outlet in Gujarat and other states.

The 4.2M160 technology intelligent turbines, well-developed by Senvion to offer excellence in control and optimisation technology, will be incorporated into the implementation of the project. This will dramatically improve the durability of the turbine and cut operating costs.

Senvion India’s CEO and Managing Director, Amit Kansal, said that the company is committed to offering employment for local people as well as the development of renewable energy in India adding that over 85 per cent of its turbines are made locally.

Arvind Bansal, the chief executive officer of Continuum Green Energy, said that the company is always ready to go for a new technological innovation and they fully trust on Senvion to deliver a new advanced, reliable, finest and differentiated product in wind energy projects.
