RITES wins Rs 42 crore road development project from Assam govt

Rites Ltd informed the exchanges in a filing that it has secured an order worth Rs 50.18 crore, inclusive of 18% GST, from the Assam government’s Public Works Roads Department.

The size of the order is Rs 42.53 crore exclusive of GST, according to the filing.

As a part of the contract, Rites will provide consultancy services for third-party monitoring and quality control for 47 roads with a total length of 996.7 km across Assam. The services will be provided under the Asom Mala 2.0 programme for the year 2023–24. The stipulated time period in which the company will provide its services is 18 months.

Earlier on July 1, the public sector company informed the exchanges that it had bagged an order worth ₹26.79 crore plus GST from the Karnataka Mining Environment Restoration Corporation.

As a part of the order, Rites Ltd will provide total project management consultancy services for the construction of railway Private Freight Terminals at Dharmapura and Susheel Nagar in Ballari District under the Comprehensive Environment Plan for Mining Impact Zone (CEPMIZ). The company said that the order will be executed in 24 months from the date of signing of the contract.
