RITES has secured an order from Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation for providing bye-pass line.

The constuction work of bye-pass line, worth Rs 53.5 crore is for connecting Rayalaseema Thermal Power Plant (RTPP) yard to Kalamalla Railway Station.

It was earlier awarded on project management consultancy (PMC) basis and is now converted into turnkey contract.

The project has a completion period of 18 months and will play a critical role in improving rail connectivity.
