States are also contributing with semiconductor policies to increase the profitability of this.

To encourage investors to start producing semiconductors and electronic chips in Odisha, the Odisha Cabinet passed the Odisha Semiconductor Manufacturing & Fabless Policy.

The state wants to make Odisha a world-class hub for semiconductor design and production with this policy.

The state anticipates that the programme will result in the establishment of 100 fabless design companies and at least one semiconductor manufacturing facility in Odisha.

During the 7-year policy period, the semiconductor ecosystem in Odisha is predicted to create 20,000 indirect jobs in addition to 5000 direct jobs.
